Once Upon a Child is a children’s clothing franchise that buys and sells gently used children’s apparel, footwear, accessories, and toys. The business was founded in 1991 and has experienced over 30 years of successful operations and growth.
Kim Lawler acquired Once Upon a Child in 2010 and, after ten years of successfully running the business, sought to sell to transition into retirement.
Local investors Jason and Christina Anderson acquired Once Upon a Child of Clarksville, Tennessee. Both Jason and Christina bring a wealth of entrepreneurial experience and a passion for community-focused businesses. The Andersons expressed their enthusiasm for the acquisition, noting their alignment with the store’s values of excellence in customer service, providing a budget-conscious and family-friendly resource to the community, and fostering a team culture of hard-working, reliable, and loyal employees. They also emphasized their commitment to retaining all staff under the new ownership and expanding the store’s reach while maintaining the high standards set by Kim Lawler.
