Bridal Gallery of Grand Rapids, MI Acquired by America’s Bride!
September 2020 – Grand Rapids, MI-based Small Business Deal Advisors (“SBDA”) is pleased to announce the successful sale of Bridal Gallery of Grand Rapids, MI, to America’s Bride of Walker, MI.
Founded in 1985 by Judi and Ralph Tapp, Bridal Gallery has been a staple for brides in West Michigan. The store carries over 350 special order wedding dresses as well as bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, and bridal accessories.
Judi Tapp, former owner, commented, “While I suppose it is always bittersweet to sell your business and say goodbye, Ralph and I are ready for retirement and know that America’s Bride is a great fit. Both of our companies were founded and operated as West Michigan-based, family-owned businesses for many years. This is an exciting new chapter for Bridal Gallery. The buyer, America’s Bride, is an award-winning bridal shop located in Walker, Michigan.
Beyond bridal gowns, America’s Bride offers multiple lines of bridesmaid dresses, and accessories including: veils, headpieces, jewelry, and belts. It also boasts a full line of tuxedos and accessories for men.

The transaction was managed by SBDA Associate, Doug Yntema. Small Business Deal Advisors advised Bridal Gallery on the sale through the development of marketing materials, comprehensive marketing of the acquisition opportunity, and consulting through the negotiation, due diligence, and closing periods.

With the sale of Bridal Gallery, Small Business Deal Advisors and sister company Calder Capital broke their annual transaction closings record. This was the 24th transaction completed in 2020.
