Foam Works

September 2020 – Grand Rapids, MI-based Small Business Deal Advisors (“SBDA”) is pleased to announce the successful sale of Foam Works to an individual investor.

Founded in 2017, Foam Works is a Ludington, MI-based provider of spray foam and cellulose insulation for residential and commercial projects.

Foam Works was founded by Dann and Julie Van Dyke, who also own Cottage Works, a property maintenance and construction company. Growing much faster than originally anticipated, Foam Works began to demand more of Dann and Julie’s time and facility storage space. With the desire to remain focused on their other business, Dann and Julie decided to engage Small Business Deal Advisors to facilitate the sale of Foam Works.

Julie Van Dyke, Foam Works founder and seller, commented, “Dann and I are thrilled with how Small Business Deal Advisors managed the sale process. We were concerned about selling a young business during the pandemic, but we received multiple offers and closed in under five months. Huge thanks to Shane and the rest of the SBDA team for their expert guidance.”

Small Business Deal Advisors advised Foam Works on the sale through the development of marketing materials, comprehensive marketing of the acquisition opportunity, and consulting through the negotiation, due diligence, and closing periods. The transaction was managed by SBDA Associate, Shane Kissack.

The Foam Works transaction marked the combined record SBDA/Calder Capital 27th closing of 2020!

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
