B.C. Pizza Lowell

February 2021 –Small Business Deal Advisors (“SBDA”) is thrilled to announce the successful sale of three B.C. Pizza locations to an individual investor.

B.C. Pizza is a Michigan-based franchise of pizzerias. The locations in Belmont, Greenville, and Lowell, Michigan were started by James Fegel and Tony Griffin in 2004. Ready to invest time and resources into other business ventures, James and Tony engaged Small Business Deal Advisors to manage the sale of the restaurants.

The buyer, Tim Ofield, is also the owner of Ofield Funeral Home. He lives near BC Pizza and was a loyal customer. He decided to diversify his business portfolio and thought these successful and popular restaurants were a good move.

B.C. Pizza was founded in 1988 by two brothers. The company’s reputation as the “Hometown Handmade Gourmet” pizza was built by using fresh, high quality ingredients and the brothers’ secret recipes for pizza sauce and crust. Customers continue to be impressed by the one-on-one friendly service and community support that each B.C. Pizza franchise exhibits in their area.

“I am grateful to Doug and the SBDA team for providing valuable advice throughout the process,” added Tony Griffin, former co-owner of the B.C. Pizza restaurants. “We listed prior to Covid and after the shut downs, we thought it would never sell. SBDA just kept bringing buyers and never lost faith they could get it sold. Their ability to professionally manage the entire process and the parties involved was critical in guiding the transaction through a successful outcome. While the pandemic has caused uncertainty for a lot of restaurant owners, I expect nothing but continued success for Tim.”

Small Business Deal Advisors advised James and Tony on the sale through the development of marketing materials, comprehensive marketing of the acquisition opportunity, and consulting through the negotiation, due diligence, and closing periods.

The transaction was managed by associate Doug Yntema, who commented, “This wasn’t easy, but this is another example of Small Business Deal Advisors delivering a successful outcome for our client despite pandemic complexity. We never give up! Our restaurant brokerage expertise and experience was very helpful in getting this deal done.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
